Q: My translator makes a beeping sound but nothing appears on the screen?

A: A) Check to see if you pulled out the battery protective strips.
    B) Check if all of the batteries are good.
    C) For the speaking models, use the enclosed red tool to press the reset for all that do not have this tool,open a paperclip and push it gently into the reset hole on the unit.
 

Q: I do not hear any voice on my talking translator?

A: A) Make sure your translator is in the translator function (word or phrase).
    B) Make sure your volume control knob is set high. The knob is on the right side of your translator.
    C) Be sure you have a talking translator. We also manufacture non talking units.
 

Q: I set the date but the day is incorrect?

A: You may be setting up your unit in the European format. You have to set it up in the MM/DD/YY format. Try reversing the Month and Date and then after you press enter press the letter "A". The talking units can be set by going into the setup section and making sure you have it set MM/DD/YY.
 

Q: My screen looks scratched?

A: Most units will have a thin film covering the screen. You can peel this off by starting in any of the corners. This is only a protective film to protect the display in travel to you.
 

Q: How long is the warranty on the unit?

A: All Lingo products carry a 6 month limited warranty.
